Morning Run

I forgot the feeling you get when you return to running after a long winter. This is what I saw when I got to the lake this morning around 5:30am. Can you imagine how this sight could brighten up your day? And the the feeling of empowerment that comes along with a morning run- knowing that you have already accomplished more than most people will in a day! What a rush. Hopefully the rest of my day keeps getting better!

Home Office Inspiration

Hello! Sorry about the delay- i've been stuck in a storage unit! Moving day = t-minus 10 days! I actually like the process of moving, organizing, pitching and finding wedding gifts I forget we even received! It's been quite time consuming but very rewarding. Looking through anything, i've been thinking of how we are going to fill our new 1700 sq. ft. apartment! We spend alot of time in our home office (well I do, but my husband seems to think the couch is a better work surface for his laptop!) so keeping it organized with enough room to house a double bed, two work surfaces, a shelving unit and all my paper supplies is a challenge! Here are some images i'm using for inspiration. I'm sure almost everyone envies the home office that is stylish and has a spot for everything! Enjoy...

I love the shelving unit full of bins, cute organizing boxes and decor.

I'm thinking we need some wall hung organizers above our large work surfaces.

Speaking of work surfaces- I got two of these desks from ikea a while ago and lined them up so that we each had our own desk but they look like one long surface. (with white legs)

The order that these frames create on the wall is great! Now that i've gone through almost everything that we own- i have discovered a TON of frames! I'm thinking they need to be lumped together in arrangements like this... (instead of placed all over)

Tribeca J. Crew Mens Shop

The long-established Tribeca tavern called Liquor Store may have closed its doors, but in its place J. Crew extended its brand with a curated selection of men's clothing and accessories by its designers and others — all while maintaining the original vibe of the bar situated in a classic 1825 townhouse. In the remodel the bar was kept in place and lighting, finishes, etc. were chosen appropriately to the space. A respectful gesture to the history of the place is paid with hints like liquor bottles scattered about. The shop also sells items that are unusual for its parent company, like old records and first-edition books. I love when this is done- taking over a space while paying homage to what it use to be. Bookshelf Walls...

Oh how i long for the space to allow a wall of bookshelves and the amount of books to fill them! I love the look of this concept. It adds texture and order to a wall while organizing at the same time!

I just stumbled upon Nature's Cabinet etsy shop! They have some really natural home decor pieces that are very budget friendly...

Baby Thankyou's

Kira needed some teeny tiny thank you letters to show her appreciation without having to fill an entire normal sized card. Greet design came up with a business card sized thank you note that fits into a baby envelope. The colors and design reflect the spring season that has finally graced us with it's presence!

Tara's Save the Dates

Tara and Bobby are getting married in St. Thomas and wanted to do a boarding pass save the date to keep with the destination theme. The icons are the start of a theme that I think would be nice to carry through to the invitations as well- i'm thinking a fold out map of the Island with all of their wedding information on it! Anthropologie Birthday Coupon

I just received the cutest birthday coupon from Anthropologie for my birthday! My husband said it's bad news that they send them out, but I think it's brilliant! (i'm sure we are looking at it from very different angles) The card functions as a coupon and holds a wearable candle necklace! The card is printed on thick textured stock and tiny holes outline a cupcake shape. Check it out...

Blown Away!

This invitation is the most simple yet creative I've seen in a while! I love the RED against white and letterpress text on great paper. Designed by Office Optimist . This is bound to create a smile... (and maybe make you a little light headed)


I also love the concept of their celebration- a week of cooking, laughing, go carting, croquet, relaxing... What's better than a week with your friends and family?!
