And were back!

Well,... after a long hiatus, I am back! We have gone through a life changing 7 months - more on that later. But first, a highlight on one of Greet Design's weddings! Janet and Josh are close friends of ours who got married in Chicago this summer. It was a BEAUTIFUL wedding and reception at The Rookery Building downtown. The simple classic style of her stationary fit in perfectly with the entire event!
Yakedake, a family recipe was a favor for every guest.
The programs were flat printed on heavy ivory stock and finished off with a sage green bow. You see the gorgeous Church in the background.

The daily grind

Here's a little of what I've been up- a.k.a why I haven't posted in forever! ...

Greet design- working on save the dates for a fall Chicago wedding and holiday party invitations!
My full time job- a pop up hand bag/accessory store in Lombard.
I installed the patent leather straps myself on this cash wrap that was left over from the last tenant!
Decorating the tree (please excuse the blue tint...iphone)
Cooking healthy... instead of waiting for the new year I decided to tackle a healthy diet by trying to get all the nutrients we need. Hopefully it will help stave off any illness that comes with the harsh winter as well!

Baby Thankyou's

Kira needed some teeny tiny thank you letters to show her appreciation without having to fill an entire normal sized card. Greet design came up with a business card sized thank you note that fits into a baby envelope. The colors and design reflect the spring season that has finally graced us with it's presence!

Tara's Save the Dates

Tara and Bobby are getting married in St. Thomas and wanted to do a boarding pass save the date to keep with the destination theme. The icons are the start of a theme that I think would be nice to carry through to the invitations as well- i'm thinking a fold out map of the Island with all of their wedding information on it! Stay tuned for those...

I'm also busy printing the gift basket tags, programs, itinerary, thank you cards and favor tags for Carly & Josh's Wedding!

Production at Greet Design!

I've been putting together some wedding invitations for a couple celebrating in Mexico! Check out the fun colors they chose for their invites. The invitation is a folder of information for the guests to travel with. I love the rich "night" colored folders and poppy color- they compliment each other so well! The simple floral design continues onto the back of the envelope.

Wedding Stationary

This weekend we traveled through miles of cornfields to our friends wedding in Sprinfield, Oh! I have never seen so many corn fields! It was amazing. She asked me to help her with programs, table names and place cards which you will see below! The wedding party carried huge bunches of sunflowers, which gave me the inspiration for the yellow flowers with chocolate brown text. Congrats to Mike and Tiffany! We really enjoyed the celebration :)

Next week is my last letterpress class at Evanston Print and Paper :( So sad. But the good thing is, after I complete the class I can rent studio time! This week I made some invitations for a wine and cheese party we're having next month!

My First Letterpress Product!

Here are the first products from my letterpress adventure! Our project was to make a deck of cards. I had all suits of the #10 and one each of King, Queen, Ace and Jack. Here they are on a sheet before cutting. So much fun. The press experience was so amazing seeing the finished product! Next week we are cutting and I'm going to try and print some business cards for myself.

My work!

Just a little something i've been working on! This 4 x 6 card is printed on reclaimed paper stock and has a very rustic feel with the bleeding cowboy text and textured cotton ribbon. It will be available on my etsy account soon! Let me know what you think by commenting below!
