And were back!

Well,... after a long hiatus, I am back! We have gone through a life changing 7 months - more on that later. But first, a highlight on one of Greet Design's weddings! Janet and Josh are close friends of ours who got married in Chicago this summer. It was a BEAUTIFUL wedding and reception at The Rookery Building downtown. The simple classic style of her stationary fit in perfectly with the entire event!
Yakedake, a family recipe was a favor for every guest.
The programs were flat printed on heavy ivory stock and finished off with a sage green bow. You see the gorgeous Church in the background.

Fall Bliss!

Well, it's 50 degrees and sunny here in Chicago today! Most people are mourning the end of summer. On the contrary, I am welcoming the beginning of Fall. There is nothing more satisfying than a brisk morning walk with Myko (our golden retriever) with the sun beating down on your face. Hello big comfy sweaters, pumpkin spice latte's and fireplaces filled with warmth! Here are some fall inspired wedding details I am admiring at the moment...

Etsy is featuring Timeless Paper who makes a variety of wedding or party paper embellishments! I fell in love with their hand cut place cards ranging from simple to intricate. They are so amazing- they could double as a favor as well.

Tara's Save the Dates

Tara and Bobby are getting married in St. Thomas and wanted to do a boarding pass save the date to keep with the destination theme. The icons are the start of a theme that I think would be nice to carry through to the invitations as well- i'm thinking a fold out map of the Island with all of their wedding information on it! Stay tuned for those...

Blown Away!

This invitation is the most simple yet creative I've seen in a while! I love the RED against white and letterpress text on great paper. Designed by Office Optimist . This is bound to create a smile... (and maybe make you a little light headed)

I also love the concept of their celebration- a week of cooking, laughing, go carting, croquet, relaxing... What's better than a week with your friends and family?!

Fore!

I know- I've been stuck on save the date's but that's what i'm busy doing right now so that's what I'm going to share! I'm loving these charming and preppy Save the Date's from Studio on Fire. They letterpress printed the invite card and the bride did the rest- tee stuffing, argyle print in the box mailer and the stamp for the outside of the box. Enjoy...

Rediculously cool Michigan wedding...

Being from Michigan, I was automatically intrigued with this Mackinac Island wedding. When i looked at the pictures, I was in love with the feel the bride created. It is so cohesive with Mackinac Island- bikes, candy and carriages. Love it!

Frame the Date

This is a GREAT gift idea for weddings, baby showers, or any special event! First of all, Young house love has some great stories- I am already addicted! They featured Frame the date who uses your images to create a framed collage to represent a date. These pictured below are so elegant, but they do colorful and fun as well.

Production at Greet Design!

I've been putting together some wedding invitations for a couple celebrating in Mexico! Check out the fun colors they chose for their invites. The invitation is a folder of information for the guests to travel with. I love the rich "night" colored folders and poppy color- they compliment each other so well! The simple floral design continues onto the back of the envelope.

Wedding Stationary

This weekend we traveled through miles of cornfields to our friends wedding in Sprinfield, Oh! I have never seen so many corn fields! It was amazing. She asked me to help her with programs, table names and place cards which you will see below! The wedding party carried huge bunches of sunflowers, which gave me the inspiration for the yellow flowers with chocolate brown text. Congrats to Mike and Tiffany! We really enjoyed the celebration :)

Bridal Layers

Why didn't I know about this "peaceful afternoon dress" when I got married? The whole look says, yup I'm getting married today and I am just going to go with the flow- after my mimosa that is. No tight fabric or hot bunchy fluff. I love it! Hopefully another one of my friends will get engaged so i can pass this designer on. Check out Sarah Steven's work on etsy.
